Photography and memory

The 42nd edition, the first of the sixth season, took place on 3 November 2018 in Orchide's conference room and was about photography, with a single speaker.

Blerta Hoçia, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence who specialised in photography at the APAB school under the artistic direction of the Alinari Museum, gave a talk titled “Memory as an artistic medium”. In her view it was the right moment to talk about collective memory and how it is being distorted, given what is happening to our cities and our cultural heritage. She had led the conservation and management of the collection at the “Marubi” National Museum of Photography in Shkodër and had worked as a photographer for the Office of the Prime Minister of Albania, Anima Pictures, Pic Creative and at many international events.
