Activism, civil society and film

The first BarCamp Ferizaj took place on 14 September 2013 at Residence Bar, near the old cinema building in Ferizaj. Three speakers brought experiences from activism, civil society and film, and opened the series of BarCamp meetups in the city.

Ramadan Ilazi, founder of the NGOs INPO and FOL and one of the first civil-society activists in Kosovo, was the first speaker in BarCamp Ferizaj's history. He talked about his projects for society and his path as an activist.

Albion Sherifi, director of the NGO Nisma për Aktivizim, presented “Inico për vetvete”, a series of activities that ends in a 35-minute documentary. He talked about the will to start solving our own problems and how citizens can take part in decision-making through civil society.

Sabri Pajaziti, film director and head of culture at the Cultural Centre in Ferizaj, talked about FerFilm Festival, the international film festival to be held in Ferizaj for the first time on 2–6 October 2013. He described the preparations and plans for a festival expected to bring many films from outside Kosovo.

Organised by young activists from Ferizaj, with the support of IPKO Foundation.
