About this edition
The 16th edition took place on 18 April 2015 in Orchide's conference room. After the edition on democracy, this one was about the role of women in society, women's empowerment and teaching boys about gender equality.
Lebibe Topalli-Shabani, a painter, art teacher and chair of Ferizaj's “Zef Kolombi” artists' association, talked about her work and exhibitions and how her art has portrayed the role of women in society.
Edita Veseli, programme manager at Women for Women International in Kosovo, talked about the organisation, founded in 1993 and in Kosovo since 2000, which helps women in post-war regions rebuild their lives with financial aid, emotional support, job-skills training and education about their rights.
Kadri Gashi, coordinator of the “Bonu Burrë” (Be a Man) Club, presented this initiative of young men in the Balkans: how it teaches young people about the stereotypes placed on boys and how it challenges them, for gender equality and against violence, homophobia and labelling.
Organised by young activists from Ferizaj, with the support of IPKO Foundation.
