About this edition
The 25th edition took place on 23 April 2016 in Orchide's conference room and was about technology in our lives: how it makes life easier, how we can use it to be responsible citizens who hold institutions to account, and what it makes possible.
Mërgim Cahani, founder of Gjirafa Inc., the Albanian search engine, talked about the company, which had just raised $2.5 million from investors including Esther Dyson, Ondrej Bartos, Phillip Staehelin and Rockaway Capital, and aimed to bring online marketing solutions to Kosovo, Albania and the region.
Fitore Metbala, from the FOL Movement, presented sedukorrupsionin.org, a platform for education, reporting, research and advocacy against corruption. She explained how it lets young people fight corruption in education and demand more accountability from schools and universities.
Avni Ademi and Alban Bytyçi, former employees of the Fluor company in Afghanistan, talked about the projects they started and worked on there: electronic management of all the company's activities, and third-party projects for other companies.
Organised by BarCamp Ferizaj's local organising team, with the support of IPKO Foundation.
