Volunteering and youth activism

The 29th edition, the first of 2017, took place on 28 January in Orchide's conference room and was about volunteering and youth activism.

Alma Gashi, a student at the “Kuvendi i Arbërit” high school and a volunteer since the age of 12, talked about how no one is too young, too old or too busy to volunteer, and the chances for personal growth that volunteering gave her.

Erza Bislimi, co-organiser of BarCamp Ferizaj, talked about BarCamp as an idea: how it began, and what it is like to run such an event as a volunteer to do something good for the community.

Erza Ajeti, a student at Mehmet Akif College who had taken part in many volunteer activities and, after a training, had won an internship at a Kosovar media outlet, talked about why volunteering matters for the individual and for society, and how other young people can get involved.

Organised by BarCamp Ferizaj's team of young activists, under the umbrella of Iniciativa për Progres (INPO), with the support of IPKO Foundation.
